S4E uses a granular permission model that allows you to control exactly what each team member can do. Permissions are assigned per user when inviting or editing a member, and can be applied globally or scoped to specific assets.
Adding a New Member
To invite a new team member:
- Navigate to Settings > Team.
- Click Add a new member.
- Enter the member's email address in the Invite Member field.
- Toggle Apply All Assets to grant access to all assets, or leave it off to assign specific assets later.
- Configure the individual permissions (see below).
- Click Invite.
Available Permissions
Each permission can be toggled on or off independently for each user:
| Permission | Description |
|---|---|
| Start Scan | Ability to initiate and run scans against assets. |
| View Report | Ability to view scan reports and results. |
| Export | Ability to export scan results and data. |
| Support | Ability to access and use support features. |
| Asset Add | Ability to add new assets to the platform. |
| Asset Delete | Ability to remove assets from the platform. |
| Asset Config | Ability to modify asset configurations and settings. |
| Create Token | Ability to create API tokens for programmatic access. |
| Compliance | Ability to access compliance-related features and reports. |
Asset Scope
The Apply All Assets toggle controls the scope of the user's permissions:
- On -- The user's permissions apply to all assets in the organization.
- Off -- The user's permissions are limited to specific assets assigned to them.
What's Next?
- Users and Roles -- Manage team members and role assignments.
